Hello everyone, this is Irregular. Now that it's winter break, I have time to make up for the previous mistakes
This time, let's continue with the introduction of the Switch 2, and again because of the digital versionGamesIf there is a lot of related content related to this topic, then I'll put it all in the same article. This article is roughly divided into the following sections. Feel free to jump to the parts that interest you and watch directly:
– Reasons to buy the NS2 in 2026
– Related to purchasing NS2Popular science
– NS2-related accessories
– Inspection & post-receipt related settings
– How to purchase the digital version of the game
(Here, let's use a wallpaper from Monument Valley as a dividing mark.)
– Reasons to buy the NS2 in 2026
This article is biasedTutorialSo I won't go into too much detail about the NS2's own issues. The NS2's strength lies in Nintendo's exclusive games, such as the famous Legend of Zelda series, Kirby and the Stars, Mario, and more, as well as a slim handheld form; The downsides are expensive games, short battery life, and inferior performance and third-party game lineups compared to other Windows handheld consoles![]()
If you just like this handheld form factor or are interested in the NS, and you didn't get into the NS1 because its performance was too weak before, but now you want to get into the NS2, then I think there's nothing wrong with that; If you enjoy Nintendo's first-party games and want to play at higher graphics settings, you can also get into the NS2. Besides that, if you want to get into the NS2, I think you should consider it![]()
– Popular science about purchasing NS2
As the saying goes, game consoles usually have a 2K down payment and a monthly payment of 300. Before discussing how to buy, let me briefly explain the differences between the different versions of the Switch 2 currently available for purchase. Currently, you should have the Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japanese versions:
– Hong Kong version: In every sense, it should be the version with the largest quantity and the easiest to buy; It should be noted that the charger included in the Hong Kong version cannot be used directly in mainland China; If it's a bundled game, the bundled game is in the form of a redemption code
– Singapore edition: This should be the best version; the included charger can be used directly with some domestic plugs; If it's a bundled version, since Singapore doesn't have an eShop, the bundled games are still physical editions, making it easier to recover funds
– Japanese edition: The most widely available version in China is probably the Japanese-only region-locked Japanese version. This version of the NS2 only supports the Japanese system language, can only log in to Japanese region accounts, and can only connect with Japanese region accounts. In short, just don't buy it
– Korean version: It's quite rare in China. The single-player version is essentially the same as the Singapore version, but the bundled version requires a Korean account to enter the eShop, while Korean account registration requires KoreaMobile phonesID number/ID card, so don't buy the bundled version
To save money, when prices are the same, Singapore/Korean versions have priority > Hong Kong version; if the price difference is under 100, the Singapore version has priority > Hong Kong; otherwise, the Hong Kong version is recommended. Don't buy the Korean version bundled, and don't get the Japanese version just because it's cheap
Having covered the science introduction of the NS2 version, now let's talk about how to purchase the NS2。 Currently, the three platforms I recommend for buying the NS2 in China are Taobao, JD.com, and Pinduoduo. Below, I'll explain the differences between these three platforms as well:
– Eastern Capital: The most expensive but fastest delivery, next-day delivery, and usually after-sales service that is unsure if it works
– Taobao: Prices are much cheaper than JD.com, but not as good as Duoduo, and you need to grab coupons on time, which may even cancel orders; The delivery speed is average, and usually there's no after-sales service
– Pinduoduo: After spending 68 yuan to activate V3 membership, the price is the lowest, so you don't need to rush coupons on time, and orders may be cut; The delivery speed is average, and usually there's no after-sales service
If I had to recommend it, my personal suggestion is Duoduoduo. If you spend 68% on a V3 membership, the coupons and points exchanged can be used to buy accessories like controllers or cartridges—something Taobao and JD.com can't achieve. JD.com is the most expensive, and wealthy brothers do as they please; As for Taobao, if you're really tired of getting your orders cut on Duoduo, you can try grabbing coupons on Taobao at the right time
– NS2-related accessories
After purchasing the console,In fact, what you need most is a physical cartridge, because there are no games on a single console; you have to buy all the console games yourself. As for the cartridge section, I've already posted very detailed info and text before, covering the process of buying tapes, stacking coupons, and selling second-hand tapes. Check out the following article:

After selecting the cartridge, let's talk about NS2 accessories. In this section, I will use recommendation ratings to briefly evaluate current NS2-related accessories and provide reasons for purchase or discouragement
• Pro2 controller: ★★★★ ☆
I would call the Pro2 controller Nintendo's official best-selling accessory, made from the same comfortable material as the JoyCon 2, with an overall design different from the Xbox controllerI think it's more comfortable than the Xbox controller and definitely worth buying
。 The downside is it's a bit expensive. Last week, I saw a special price of 375 yuan for Duoduo V3 members, and the lowest price I saw on Alipay Ant Forest was around 320
• Official 256GB SD Express card: ★★★ ☆☆
As everyone knows, the NS2 only comes with 256GB of storage. If you don't have enough storage, you should consider buying a storage card. The SD Express card used in the NS2 was only recently released, and its price is outrageous
。 Nintendo's official 256GB card is barely reasonably pricedWhen I bought it, it was 230, which is considered the standard price. The lowest price for this card is about 210. If you need to expand storage, I recommend buying this one to use first
· NS2 official storage bag: ★★ ☆☆☆
This refers to Nintendo's official storage pouch. When I bought it, it was 161, and now the regular price is about 120. I don't recommend this bag, especially around 120 yuan. Although the material feels okay, the scratches on the bag won't disappear after being squeezed, and it's made very small. Personally, I feel like it might have hit the joystick. Overall, I don't really recommend it
Personally, I recommend Tomtoc's bag, which is also the clutch I'm currently using. After stacking these coupons, they're even cheaper than the official ones, but the materials and design are even better
· AR Film: ★★★★★
I really highly recommend this. The NS2 comes with a burst-proof film, but its reflection is very severe. I highly recommend buying an AR film to stick on. If possible, you can peel off the initial layer and reapply it, or you can also apply an AR film on top of the original film. I bought the AR soft film on 1688, 20 per sheet, plus shipping fee of 25
• NS2 Protective Case: ★★ ☆☆☆
Not long after I bought the NS2, I also considered getting a protective case. But when I bought this one, it looks pretty nice, but it's actually a hard case, which is a hassle to take apart and install. Plus, the protective case doesn't really improve the feel in the hand, and it might even force you to buy a looser clutch. I don't recommend it
• JoyCon button stickers & joystick caps: ★ ☆☆☆☆
These two products belong to the same category, so let's discuss them together. With these button stickers, you can tell as soon as you use them, they don't really protect you. As for the joystick cap, I feel it slips more easily, so I don't think these products really have much value to buy
As for chargers and power banks,I don't think there's much to say
Bro, you all browseExtremely peacefulI think you can casually grab a charger or power bank and give it to the NS2
– Inspection & post-receipt related settings
This part is a bit scattered, so I won't include pictures one by one. Just follow the text as you like. First, let's talk about the inspection process. Be sure to record a complete unboxing video. The basic steps for inspection are as follows:
– After starting the recording, open the parcel box and confirm the packaging is undamaged and the seal is intact
– After opening the package, take out the console and JoyCon, and confirm that all accessories are complete
* Accessories inside the NS2 packaging box include: main unit*1, JoyCon controller*2, JoyCon wrist strap*2, magnetic grip*1, base*1, charging kit*1 (charging adapter + cable), HDMICable *1, instruction manual *1; if bundled, it also includes a redemption code or physical cartridge *1
– Remove the main unit from the packaging bag, check for dent marks and any protrusions on the back cover; do not turn on the machine at this point
– Take out a pair of JoyCons from the packaging bag, check if the controller body has any dents, if the buttons are pressed normally, if the joystick is stuttering, and check if the JoyCons can connect to the console. New machines cannot connect directly to the console if not activated
– Power on: Check for the red NS2 logo interface on the first boot, and check the screen for dead pixels or spots
– After normal activation, the controller will be paired during the activation process, but do not connect to the internet during activation! Don't connect to the internet! Don't connect to the internet! Skipping the data migration section, you can directly create a local user to enter the system normally
– After entering the system, go directly to Settings - > Support. If the activation time is shown here, the activation time should be the activation day; If the activation time is not displayed, click to enter the error record. Since it's a new device, there should be no error records here
– After confirming everything is fine, you can confirm it's a new device. Let's start with the test section. First, test the controller connection. After removing the JoyCon, press any button to see if the console connects to the JoyCon. It's recommended to try several times
– After confirming the controller connection is correct, check the "Calibration Joystick," "Calibration Input Device," and "Calibration Gyroscope Sensor" in the Settings -> controller and peripherals to see if there are any issues with each part of the main unit/controller. Just follow the instructions. It's important to focus on testing whether the controller's L/R and ZL/ZR have issues, as this was common at launch
– Finally, test whether charging and host mode voting have any issues. If everything is fine, the inspection process ends here
After the test is complete, open the accelerator on your phone to accelerate the hostUpdateSystem version! During the update, we need to do another thing on mobile: register a Nintendo account. If you're a veteran Switch player, you can skip this part. Let me start with the beginningFor NS handhelds, I personally recommend registering at least four accounts. For the main account, which is the one you use to play games, I suggest choosing either the Japan or Hong Kong regions. I'll mention the other regions later
Open the official Nintendo account website:View the linkGo straight to the bottom, select Create New Account, and on the newly opened page, choose "13 years old and above," then proceed to the information filling step
Filling in the information above is definitely fine. The main issue is the country section. As I mentioned earlier, I recommend choosing either Hong Kong or Japan for your main account. After selecting the country, the time zone will be automatically filled in below, and then you can register by sending a verification code
After returning to the main unit, after the system update is complete, my personal recommendation is to directly restore factory settings; Then open the accelerator to connect online and follow the activation process. This time, you need to link your Nintendo account. Just log in to the Nintendo account you registered and create a local user to link it. Note that if you are a long-time NS user, you must go through the overall migration process during the second activation processThis overall migration can save the game, play history,DownloadRecords are transferred directly to the new device, which is very convenient
After completing the activation process the second time, the setup isn't finished. The NS2 has a minor issue: when connected to the internet while in standby, the device heats up and drains power, which is quite exaggerated. To address this, we need to find the option "Keep Wired Internet Connection While Sleeping" in the sleep settings and turn it off directly. Although it says this feature only works when connected to wired networks, personally, I feel that turning it off can also help reduce the issue of dormant heating
The ABXY and XBox controllers on JoyCon are opposite. If correction is needed, you can replace AB in the "Controller and Peripherals" section in the settings
JoyCon 2 has multiple C buttons, which require phone number verification in the region where the account is located. So, this feature has little to do with mainland China. We can replace it with the Home button. In the settings, under "Accessibility," find "Key Assignment." Here, you can also assign other key mappings, including the previously mentioned ABXY
Finally, one more thing about uploading game screenshots. After several months of launch, screenshots uploaded from consoles or downloaded screenshots from phones can now be directly connected without a thread, which is very convenient, but you must have a Nintendo Switch on your phone App, you can download it directly from the Google Play Store
After downloading the app and successfully logging in on your phone, go to the host and tap the icon below to enter your album
Then select the photo, then choose "Upload to smartphone" and the user you want to upload, and you can download the screenshot from the mobile app
That's basically the end of the setup phase once you get it. At this point, your NS2 setup is basically complete, only the game is left. I've previously posted illustrated explanations of physical games, and the final part will mainly discuss how to purchase digital games
– How to purchase the digital version of the game?
Before we dive into the tutorial on purchasing the digital edition of the game, let's first talk about two prerequisites. First,As I mentioned earlier, I recommend registering Nintendo accounts for multiple regions. My personal suggestion is to at least register accounts for the Japan, Hong Kong, and Brazil regions. Japan and Hong Kong are home bases, and many games are still exclusive to the Hong Kong region; The Brazil region is a low-price section within the eShop. If you have an email, it's recommended to register for a US region, which has accounts across four regions
Second, I recommend downloading the Jump App to check game discount information. The app's data is relatively comprehensive, but avoid lottery draws, NSO membership carpooling, or point cards in this app, as its reputation for these two points is rather average
Having covered the prerequisites, let's start talking about how to buy games on the eShop. The fourth button at the top and bottom of the server is the eShop entry. Click it and select the corresponding user to enter. Note that the eShop region follows your account's region, and the language in eShop also follows your account's region, but this isn't a big issue
When your account enters the eShop for the first time, you will be asked to log in again. Just follow the instructions and scan the QR code to log in or enter your password directly. No matter what language you use in eShop, the functions are the same everywhere, so don't switch to the Japanese or Brazilian region and not know where to click. Use it a few times and you'll get familiar with it. The image below shows the homepage, search, and discount sections
However, the button most commonly used is the very bottom one, which is "Enter Serial Code." This is where you use the redemption code. The redemption balance, games, and DLCs for each server are all here, so don't get it wrong
If the balance redemption code is valid, the exchange interface shown in the picture below should appear here
Click on your avatar to check your balance, and you can also view pre-orders here, but I usually don't need to pre-order games from the eShop—I just buy cartridges. As for the next 'download again' option, my opinion is that it's not as good as the system's virtual game card function
Besides checking specific discount information, eShop also has a major function to confirm whether games support Chinese. Just click on any game and scroll down to see supported languages. A reminder: make sure the game supports Chinese in your current region. If you buy the wrong one, you'll have to endure it yourself, because there are almost no successful refund cases on the eShop
In addition, the eShop specifically marks games that do not support NS2 play, such as "Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition" shown below, which indicates a problem during NS2 operation and therefore is not allowed to buy it. These are the main functions of the eShop
After confirming which game to buy, it's time to buy the point card. For friends in China, except for the port zone point cards, point cards from other regions are probably very hard to buy directly. So here, you can only buy from e-commerce platforms—just find a precedent where the reviews don't show much bans
After buying the point card, enter the redemption code into the redemption sequence page above, then proceed to purchase the game. I randomly picked a game to check the page, and at the bottom of this page, there was a confirmation option. Once confirmed, the purchase is considered successful. After exiting the main page, a pop-up will appear saying "Virtual game card has been set to this console," and the game will start downloading
For the port area, you can use domestic Alipay to purchase port area point cards. HereWebsiteLi:View the linkSelect the credit limit you want to purchase, then log in to your port area account and use Alipay to purchase
After purchase, remember to click your profile picture and my account, then go to this page to view my orders. Click on the order you just bought the port point card. The redemption code will be there. Usually, after payment is successful, you have to wait a few minutes. Once you get the code, you can click 'Download Now' here, enter your account and password once, and you can immediately redeem your balance. It's much more convenient than buying a separate point card
Besides buying point cards directly, Gangqu has another advantage: you can buy games directly with Alipay. Similarly, on the port area eStore website (View the linkOnly in this game software download sequence can you pay directly with Alipay, which is more convenient than buying a point card
After successful payment, similarly, you can check the redemption code in My Orders and directly redeem games below. For example, the Great Ace Attorney 1+2 I bought before was purchased this way. If you buy a point card, you need to top up 200 point cards, which is still more convenient
Finally, let's talk about the "virtual game card" feature. You can simply think of it as the digital game you buy being a virtual game card. The virtual game card page is similar to the purchased items on the Apple App Store. Here, you can see the virtual game cards you own, which are all the digital game content you purchased. The horizontal list is the new content, commonly known as DLC; The vertical one is the main game, as shown in the image below
The virtual game card can only be set to one console at a time. When you purchase the digital version of the game, the virtual game card will be set to your console by default. When you delete this game, the virtual game card will become unset. At this point, you can set the virtual game card to another console you log into, or lend it to a member of your family group. If your family group members are simply NSO members who are carpooling,Then there's no need for this borrowing feature—just treat it as a purchased project
The NS2 completion project ends here. With the previous article and images, I've now covered the entire process of buying the NS2, verifying the device, physical cartridges, and the digital version of the game. I hope these two articles are helpful to you. Also, thank you for reading this far. If you've read this far, why not give me a like before you go? This is Irregular.
