Since I interned at Shangmei Forest in Futian, this article covers Meilin, Ma Ling, Lianhua North in Futian, as well as Minle and Baishi Long in Longhua.
In the past, I was used to living in a spacious and quiet environment, sensitive to noise, and could not accept an urban village. Based on the internship salary, the monthly rent budget was kept at over 3,000 yuan.
From July 28 to August 1, I viewed more than a dozen apartments, my mind was buzzing—Shenzhen really is hard to find a place to live, The symptoms have reached the point where I just go in and check if I post phone numbers whenever I see a neighborhood.

1. Xiameilin Xiang Apartment
Meituan booked three nights for 414.89 yuan, but after arriving at the hotel, I asked them to cancel and pay directly, which would be cheaper down to 400 yuan.
The picture doesn't look okay even if you don't zoom in. The spring bed pokes at the body, and all sorts of places are extremely dirty. The refrigerator is broken, upstairs is washing upstairs, the pipe water is noisy, the exhaust fan is loud, and the window handle is broken
What I can't accept is the apartment being extremely noisy at night, lacking soundproofing, constantly disturbed by noise from neighbors, upstairs, and the hallway, mainly because the young couple next door screams in the shower at 3 a.m. and can't fall asleep.
A large studio costs 3000 RMB per month, but I don't dare to try it

2. Baishilong Xinmao Apartments
After enjoying the noise, going to bed at 4 a.m., getting up at 8, and working all day, I went to Longhua to view houses in the evening.
The narrow circular structure creates a relatively oppressive internal environment

Solid walls, not partitions
You can only get a 6-month long-term lease; subletting requires buying a 500 RMB sublease package
One-bedroom studio: 2700 + 120 RMB per month property management fee

One-bedroom one-living-room: 3150+150 RMB. Monthly property management fee. Facing the main street, the horn and traffic noise are quite loud

The hygiene is quite poor, and the sofa inside is very greasy
Saying it's 24-hour security is questionable

3. Shangmei Forest Yujing Residence
The exterior is complex with ground-floor shops and apartments, and it's said that the side facing the splendid side can be noisier at night due to barbecue places
The internal structure is extremely oppressive, with mixed resident groups. The agent said there are many reasons
Most are single rooms or one elevator per unit

4. Green Towers
It's also an apartment type, but the interior is quite dark
Most are studio or one-bedroom type

5. Shared rental of Maling Shencai Garden community
The interior and exterior environment are very dilapidated, with eight units per elevator, four units each on the north and south sides, very abstract
2250/month, short-term rental for 3 months, secondary bedroom
The living room inside feels rather cramped, with no windows; The interior decoration feels both shabby and messy, which feels out of place, so I didn't rent it

6. Shangmeilin Liyuan Executive Apartment
840 stayed for three nights
The decoration and facilities are decent, but I'm not sure if it's due to the original building structure or the rear partition walls, which lack soundproofing. If you encounter a low-IQ tenant, it can be very noisy.

7. Xianke Garden
The layout is quite abstract
Building 3-4 is like factory dormitories, 30 years worse than my high school dormitory
I asked the uncle downstairs about renting it out, 3600 per month, only annual rent supported, so I just ran away

The others are stairwell apartments with three units per elevator; price unknown

8. Lianhua North Huamao Garden
Seeing the most comfortable old and dilapidated community right now, next to a fitness park, the community is quiet
One staircase for two households, stairs
The layout is normal, with two bedrooms on either side of the balcony. Finally, I saw a perfectly square layout in Shenzhen
A two-bedroom apartment subleased for over 3,000 yuan, unfortunately separated from a single apartment, and the subleased unit has to be moved out at 8.31

9. Ma Ling Xinhao e-Du Apartment
A room, knocked hard, and it became a solid wall
The surrounding road is under construction, and it's a huge distance to Ma Ling MTR Station, walking underground is deadly
For 1-3 months, it's 6,000 yuan all-inclusive
For 4-7 months, the fee is 5190 including utilities and property network fees
12 months is 4990 RMB, all-inclusive utilities
Short-term rentals are too expensive

10. Karen Garden
An old, specialized small apartment building
Single room 3000/month, 6-month contract, sublease supported
It's quite dark and damp, with many households on the first floor
Renting a place with parents accompanying them is truly impressive

11. Kingkey Chenyue Mansion
A type of apartment building specifically for rent
One room is 4800 RMB/month, only available for long-term rental
The high-rise view is great, the environment and decoration are nice, but you need to be mindful of renovation noise and formaldehyde paint

12. Shangmerlin Lijie Apartments
Located directly beneath the Liyuan Executive Apartments
4100/month, short-term rental for 3 months, the price is acceptable
They say it's a solid wall made of foam piles, but with cladding boards, it can't be knocked out
Not a luxury apartment, but the merits are questionable about management and whether the night is quiet

13. Meilin New Village No.1 Warm House
Urban village, Meilin New Village Building 1
They say it's a solid wall, but I knocked on it. Uh, maybe that's the solid wall of an urban village
Multiple units per floor, completely partitioned, with single rooms for multiple occupants, baby voices, and mixed crowds
The windows facing the street are quite noisy
Daily rental for one month, single room, 2900 + 150

14. Strawberry Community Store No. 69
One-bedroom one-living-room apartment, 4100/month, minimum contract 3 months
When I asked, I found out the cooperation discount directly issued by the company couldn't be used—maybe it had expired
The walls are very thin, and the knocking feels like a partition, and water seeps from the top floor ceiling, and the bed is wet
The elevator you see is on the 9th floor (you need to climb one more floor).
Facing the street, the sounds of vendors and people are quite loud

15. Shangmeilin Yimi Hotel
Stress relief / Luxury king room decoration is acceptable
The former is priced at 220 yuan for members, the latter 200 yuan, and if you choose windowless options, you can get even lower,
Soundproofing is better than Liyuan Executive Apartment, but the morning horns from large trucks and electric chickens on the street are quite annoying

Just to ramble on a bit, coming from Hangzhou really meant the quality of life had plummeted. I used to rent a solid loft right across from Yuhang ByteDance headquarters for 2650 RMB/month, and the huge Tiexuen next door (with 10 climbing machines) was 159/month. Plus, the crowds weren't that crowded, and the sidewalks weren't a single lane for electro-trauma 🐔.

After arriving in Shenzhen, even a lousy gym like Longhua Baishilong, a sleepy city, costs 300 yuan per month, and I get relentlessly elbowed on the subway, Electrosurgical wounds 🐔 on the way walking.

In summary, after seeing so many suites, I most recommend colleagues or classmates I know to sublet a well-located, old, rundown large apartment with a good environment.
